FerroSorb is a proprietary sorption material for iron and manganese removal

  • Ferrosorb ensures total iron and manganese removal
    Iron is removed in the following way: ADSORPTION — OXIDATION — ACTIVE LAYER FORMATION — AUTOCATALYTIC OXIDATION. Due to this process FerroSorb removes most common species of iron in raw water: ferrous, ferric, organic, and colloidal. Active layer of Ferrosorb contains active sites for manganese removal.
  • Proven alternative to aeration and chlorination
    Ecomix shows best performance when raw water is fed directly to Ecomix unit. Do not use oxidative pre-treatment before the Ecomix system.

  • Regenerated as a softener
    Ecomix is regenerated using the same sequence as a common softener: backwash, brine, rinse, fill. Calcium and magnesium ions are displaced from the cation exchange resin matrix with sodium ions. Humisorb is regenerated with chloride ions.
  • Iron and manganese are purged
    by surface scour mechanism
    Iron and manganese are removed during backwash by surface scour mechanism in fluidized bed.
